2011 was a creative year for the music industry! We ‘ve listened many albums, mixtapes and new songs and we ‘ve watched many new videoclips. Let’s rewind the year and see the top 10 +1 albums according to Hit Hot Music:

BAD MEETS EVIL (EMINEM & ROYCE DA 5’9”) – HELL: THE SEQUEL EP
Eminem joined forces with fellow Detroit rapper Royce Da 5’9” and they created a new EP with 9 tracks (and 12 for the Deluxe Edition) and only 3 features: Mike Epps, Bruno Mars and Slaughterhouse
10. WIZ KHALIFA – ROLLING PAPPERS
Wiz Khalifa made his Atlantic records debut with the “Rolling Pappers” album, which showed great success especially with the “Black And Yellow”, “Roll Up”, “On My Level” and “No Sleep” songs.
9. SNOOP DOGG – DOGGUMENTARY
Snoop Dogg created another classic. We had the chance to listen to the songs one by one as he released them through his “Puff Puff Pass Tuesdays” and then as a complete work: the “Doggumentary” album. “Wet” was the song that had great route through the charts, especially the David Guetta remix.
8. CHRIS BROWN – F.A.M.E.
Chris Brown released his latest album in 2011 “F.A.M.E.”, which stands for “Forgeting All My Enemies”. “Look At Me Now” featuring Busta Rhymes and Lil Wayne and his “Beautiful People” featuring Benny Benassi songs made the album known.
7. RIHANNA -TALK THAT TALK
Rihanna didn’t stop after 2 albums and 2 worldwide tours. She released her 6th album “Talk That Talk” a few months before 2011 left us. The album contained only 2 features: Calvin Harris and Jay-Z. “We Found Love” was the lead single.
6. YELAWOLF – RADIOACTIVE
Yelawolf had his Shady records debut in 2011 with his “Radioactive” album. “Hard White (Up In The Club)” that features Lil Jon was the lead single of the album, with”Let’s Roll” featuring Kid Rock following.
6. J COLE – COLE WORLD: THE SIDELINE STORY
J Cole went from being the “Workout” rapper to having a whole album to his name, and it was one of the best albums of the year! “Workout”, “Can’t Get Enough” featuring Trey Songz, “Mr Nice Watch” featuring Jay-Z, “Lost Ones” and “Nobody’s Perfect” featuring Missy Elliott are some of the songs worth listening to.
4. LIL WAYNE – THA CARTER IV
Lil Wayne released his 9th studio album. Lead singles “6 Foot 7 Foot” and “John” that features Rick Ross were widely accepted by the audience, even before the album dropped. “How To Love” along with “She Will”, “Abortion”, “President Carter” and the 2 ones mentioned above are the songs you should listen to.
3. BIG SEAN – FINALLY FAMOUS
Big Sean is finally famous! He recorded and released his first album in 2011 under Kanye West’s label “G.O.O.D. Music”. The album’s singles “My Last” featuring Chris Brown, “Marvin & Chardonnay” featuring Kanye West & Roscoe Dash and “Dance (A$$) remix” featuring Nicki Minaj made great success!
2. DRAKE – TAKE CARE
Drake is back in 2011 for his sophomore album “Take Care”, and he has proven that he got what it takes to be in this music industry, as he very well did with his debut album. “Marvin’s Room” and “Headlines” were the lead singles and showed the level of the album. Must-listen songs of the album are the two ones mentioned above and “The Motto” featuring Lil Wayne, “Take Care” featuring Rihanna, “HYFR” featuring Lil Wayne and “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj
1. THE THRONE (JAY-Z & KANYE WEST) – WATCH THE THRONE
We ‘ve made it to the top! Jay-Z and Kanye West released their long awaited album “Watch The Throne”. “H.A.M.” gave us a taste of the album months before its release. The second single was “Otis” – the only song of the album with a videoclip until now. The features were limited to Beyonce, Frank Ocean and Mr. Hudson.
